Safeguarding
The safeguarding and welfare of pupils and staff is our top priority at all times.
We have clear policies and procedures in place to ensure the safer recruitment of staff, the safe management of pupils during the school day, and to follow up promptly on any concerns about individual children.
A range of safeguarding policies can be found in the “Policies” section of the “Key Information” section. The main safeguarding policy can be found on this page.
Raising a Concern or to make a Complaint
If you have any concern about the welfare of a child in school, please contact Miss Lisa Binks the Designated Safeguarding Lead in the first instance via the school office or [email protected]
The Chair of Governors, Russell Houghton, can also be contacted via the school office.
Operation Encompass
In conjunction with Cheshire Police, Hallwood Park Primary School & Nursery is involved in a new initiative called Operation Encompass. The purpose of Operation Encompass is to safeguard and support children and young people who have been involved in, heard or witnessed a domestic abuse incident. Following such an incident, children will often arrive at school distressed, upset, worried and unprepared. Operation Encompass aims to ensure that appropriate school staff (called Key Adults) are made aware early enough to support children and young people in a way that means they feel safe and included.
At Hallwood Park our Key Adult is Flora Graham (Headteacher)
This is a valuable initiative that means we can continue to support and help children and families within our school community when they need it the most.
You can find our more by visiting www.operationencompass.org or by contacting our Key Adult.
