School Tour
Reception Class
Children are provided with a rich variety of play activities, both indoors and outdoors, whatever the weather! Direct teaching of phonics, reading, writing and maths takes place on a daily basis, whilst the continuous provision allows the children to explore their learning further and to develop their imaginations and interests.
Key Stage 1
Building on the foundations laid in Early Years, we aim to inspire the children and foster their indepent learning skills. We work closely with parents and carers to support children in developing their basic skills.
Key Stage 2
As the children move through the school, they are encouraged to engage with all aspects of a varied curriculum and to develop their own interests through extra-curicular activity.
Curriculum Opportunities
Currently, our Year 3 adn 4 children are learning to play the Ukele. Our daily mile track is very popular and has helped to improve the fitness of our pupils.
As a school we have recognised that the children's wider curriculum is as important as the curriculum they cover in classes. Staff are working hard to build a program of wirder personal development opportunities to enhance our curriculum offer. For example, Ravens Class enjoyed a trip to Runcorn Hills Park as part of their Science curriculum. They were able to identify the rocks which make up the park and also learned all about the History of this special area.
